DAY CARE

We provide a homely and peaceful atmosphere. Our premises are purpose built and have a lounge, dining room, quiet rooms, two conservatories, a hairdressing salon, complementary therapy room and a bathroom. Our grounds and gardens are well laid out and maintained to the highest standard with magnificent views over open countryside.

We are open four days a week and have a high carer/guest ratio.

There are always highly qualified nurses on duty, who specialise in palliative care, and who liaise with existing healthcare professionals to ensure individual needs are met.

Our team of carers also include volunteers who are trained and supported in their many varied roles; from assisting at lunchtime to supporting guests with craft activities and on outings and visits.

Guests are allowed the freedom to choose how they spend their time at Dove Cottage. While many join in all the activities and enjoy regular visits by hairdressers and complementary beauty therapists, others prefer to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the hospice and gardens.

Life at Dove Cottage can either be busy or contemplative, depending on the guest's needs. All our services are provided free of charge, including the provision of transport to and from Dove Cottage if
req u i r e d , and a wonderful ‘ home cooked ’ 3 - course lunch accommodating a variety of dietary requirements.
