Dove Cottage is your local hospice
It was established in 1996 — 2006 marked our 10th Anniversary.
Situated near Stathern in the Vale ofBelvoir our services are available to people living in NE Leicestershire, Rutland and SE Nottinghamshire - in excess of 100 towns and villages.
We are an independent voluntary organisation, registered with the Health- care Commission.
Specialist day care and many other services are provided to maintain and enhance the quality of life for people who are living with a life-threatening illness. A sad fact of life is that not just the elderly are affected but people of all ages.
72 day care places are available each week.
Our nursing staff are supported by a bank of over 60 volunteers.
We give the very best psychological, social and spiritual support.
The services we provide enhance the life of our guests and give vital respite and support to their families and carers.
All our services are provided free of charge.
It will cost in excess of £150,000 this year to cover our running costs, of which we have to independently raise over £100,000.
We rely on support from local companies, groups and individuals to continue providing our many services.
Can you support us in any way. no matter how small. Of every £10 it takes to run Dove Cottage, we have to raise £7 of it ourselves.
