Fund Raising Events 2005

At Dove Cottage we provide day care and many others services for people living with a life threatening illness and their families. As an independent charity we have to raise in excess of £70,000 every year just to cover our running costs.

Wednesday 2nd March, Half Price Clothes Sale & Fashion Show 1-30 p.m.
Join us for teaa, coffee and cakes while you save money on quality mens, ladies and childrens clothing from well known and respected companies.

Saturday 12th March - Auction - Viewing 12 noon Start 1.30pm. The first of our twice yearly Auctions, if you enjoy bidding for a bargain-come again this year-dont forget to empty those cupboards to donate items for us to auction. They are always welcome and very much appreciated.

Sunday 22 May 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm - Summer Fete. A wonderful entertaining family afternnon including:-

Magic Shows#Games#Maypole Dancers#Competitions#Drama & Dance#Quiz#
Various Stalls Including#Art#Plants#Handmade Gifts etc#Raffle-with fabulous prizes#Cream Teas & Refreshments#4pm Songs of Praise. Admission only £1 per car.

Throughout June - Tea at 3 day. organised in association with " Help the Hospices"- We are encouraging as many groups, organisations, schools and individuals to hold a tea party for our benefit.
Thousands of people accross the country take part to raise money for their local Hospice (similar to Red Nose Day and MacMillan Coffee Morning). Groups and individuals will be serving tea and cakes for a fee, combined with other activities such as selling goods, holding a raffle, arranging a fancy dress, holding a Tea Dance etc. Would you be willing to arrange an event for us ? Friday 5th August BBQ-6.30- 9-00 pm. Fabulous food served in our fabulous gardens-buy your tickets nearer the event.

Saturday 24th September Auction Viewing 12 Noon -Start 1.30 pm
The second of our twice yearly Auctions-come and bid for a bargain, we have everything from candles to carpets-toys to tablecloths!! Refreshments always available.
