Many people
prefer to contact Dove Cottage direct but referrals are received from many sources.
These include
General Practitioners (GP’s)
District Nurses
Social Workers
Macmillan
Nurses and Hospitals.
When a referral
is received, one of our hospice nurses will arrange a home visit for an individual
assessment of their needs.
Once day care
has been offered the guest’s GP will be contacted and there will then be close
and careful liason between the nurse and all other healthcare professionals
involved with their care.
